Dairy Goat Lactation Comparisons Print E-mail

The curves below represent 305 day lactations on actual milk yield averages in pounds and for butterfat averages in percent.  Two curves are provided for each, one for first fresheners and the other for those with multiple lactations.  This is based on all does of the breed with lactations records in the USDA-AIPL database from test day information.

The lactation trend curve for milk yield in total pounds, over time, represents actual records in the ADGA database for all animals that had a record of 275-305 days in milk.
